This is a hidden gem in the middle of Kanata, and you can quickly forget that you are in the middle of suburbia. Once and awhile road noise can be heard near the trailhead, but most of the loop feels like a wonderful sanctuary. This is a great challenge with all kinds of terrain, rocks, and uneven paths. It is recommended to bring bug spray to combat the mosquitos in the forest.

The Skyline Loop in Gatineau Park remains a perennial favorite among hikers throughout the year, providing unique and enjoyable experiences in every season. This expansive trail boasts a mix of gentle ascents and descents, making it essential for hikers to don sturdy footwear, as the terrain shifts from a gravel incline at the outset to rocky stretches and occasionally muddy forest paths. Notably, this trail stands out as one of the few loop routes in Gatineau Park that ascends the eastern slopes of the hills, rendering it an excellent choice for those seeking a sunrise hiking adventure.

Beautiful orchards, friendly staff, lots of free kids activities and fun wagon ride (that’s stroller friendly)! Very tasty apples. Delicious fresh doughnuts too!
